Maps from Google provide accurate turn by turn driving directions to your destination. What happens when you request directions for an inter continental travel. Well you can't drive across oceans. Then how will Google respond.?
It seems no problem for Google.! I requested for driving directions from Japan to United States. See the results below :

Yes, it says to take a Right turn, then Kayak across Pacific Ocean, and then take a slight left.
Kayaking 4436km across Pacific Ocean is something that requires reconsideration. It may be a dangerously good exercise but it would be better if I have a Plan B.
