MOTOROLA L7 - A Worthy Possession

The idea of mobile phone was conceived in the minds of engineers a couple of decades ago. But it has been only a few years since technology  has developed sufficiently to make this concept feasible. Very soon common man identified the significance of this invention. The transition from nobody owning a mobile phone to every body owning a mobile phone took place at a rapid phase. Even I became a victim of this transition only for good.
It has been five years since I have bought my first phone; a Motorola L7. Without having much knowledge of a mobile phone or its features, I went to a mobile store. Within a couple of minutes in there, my eyes locked onto a model. I was impressed by its sleek looks. The shopkeeper handed over the phone to me. It felt like holding a solid piece of metal. Even though a bit heavy, it had a reasonably small form factor. Within no time, I became a mobile phone owner and this purchase cost me around 6K rupees. Since then it has been a part of my life and now it seems impossible to live without touching it for a single day.
It has an averaged sized colour display, a VGA camera, built-in music player, bluetooth, internet facility etc. It can also act as a internet modem when connected to a PC. It also supports microSD card upto 2Gb. Initially I tried with different service providers and finally fixed the deal with BSNL.
In the past five years of its life,it has been subjected to a variety of abuses. Almost everyday, it sits inside my jeans pocket along with a bunch of keys, key chains, coins etc. Thanks to the scratch proof body, it has not even a single scratch on its surface till date.
Even after five years of rough use, it has not shown any signs of exhaustion. In standby condition, its battery lasts for around 2 days. It provides a talk time of 5 to 6 hours. With a few calls and a couple of hours for playing music or browsing internet, I have to charge it for 1.5 to 2 hours daily.
With the technology developing exponentially, the cost of mobile phones reduced significantly and comes packed with more features. To keep up with the technology, I think its time for me to change the phone. Anyway it was a nice experience using this phone and was worth its cost.

A Welcome Note

Although quite unusual for a blog, I prefer to begin with a small welcome note. This blog is intended to be a compilation of a wide variety of interesting topics. This blog is not intended for a particular subject or field of studies. It can contain posts relating to a wide variety of interesting subjects or facts. Even I'm not sure of what you can expect to see in my blog in the days to come. It is curiosity that drove me here and moreover I don't know where it is driving me to. The only thing I'm sure of is that this journey is definitely going to be quite interesting.
"Curiosity killed the cat" is a saying that I often hear from my dear ones, and hearing this is seriously something that is truly discouraging. But fortunately or unfortunately I'm not in a mood to give up. So I have decided to stay curious as long as possible.
A healthy audience is the only inspiration that I require to throttle me forward. Hoping to earn at least a handful of readers, I hereby start blogging.
